چکیده

In many applications, one is required to estimate the projective transformation between two sets of points, which is also known as collineation or homography. This report presents a number of techniques for this purpose.

Homography Tensors: On Algebraic Entities that Represent Three Views of Static or Moving Planar Points

We introduce a 3 3 3 tensor H and its dual Hijk which represent the 2D projective mapping of points across three projections (views). The tensor H is a generalization of the well known 2D collineation matrix (homography matrix) and it concatenates two homography matrices to represent the joint mapping across three views. The dual tensor Hijk concatenates two dual homography matrices (mappings o...

Finding the Collineation between Two Projective Reconstructions

The problem of nding the collineation between two 3-D projective reconstructions has been proved to be useful for a variety of tasks such as calibration of a stereo rig and 3-D a ne and/or Euclidean reconstruction. Moreover such a collineation may well be viewed as a point transfer method between two image pairs with applications to visually guided robot control. In spite of this potential, met...

A novel 3D planar object reconstruction from multiple uncalibrated images using the plane-induced homographies

A computer vision method is proposed to determine all the visible 3D planar surfaces in a scene from uncalibrated images and locate them in a single 3D projective space. Most of the existing methods for reconstructing planar objects use point correspondences to estimate the fundamental matrix and derive the compatible projection equations, before they apply the standard triangulation technique ...

Fast and Robust Projective Matching for Fingerprints Using Geometric Hashing

Fingerprint matching is the most important module in automatic person recognition using fingerprints. We model the nonlinear distortions and noise obtained during the fingerprint capture process as transformations in the projective domain. Matching of the fingerprints involves computing the homography matrix for the projective transformation, mapping of the minutia points by this homography and...

Collineations in a Finite Projective Geometry

m *'* aiixr + ai2< + ■ ■ • + ai*+i°€li fi_, h, xk+i ak+nxi ~r an-i2a:2 + ■+ a*+i*+ia;i:+i where wi is zero or an integer less than n, is a collineation. As a result of Dr. Levi's article J it is possible to prove the converse proposition, namely, that every collineation in PG(k,pn) is of type (1). The following argument connects this theorem directly with our former article. It will be sufficie...
